We are Extra Credit — a barbershop quartet made up of four chorus teachers who share a love for tight harmony, great music, and a good laugh along the way. Based in the Carolinas District of the Barbershop Harmony Society and proud members of the Upstate Chapter, we bring our passion for music education and performance to every stage we step on. What started as a fun musical outlet quickly turned into a meaningful extension of what we do every day: share the joy of singing.

As lifelong educators, we bring a unique perspective to barbershop singing — blending our background in choral directing with the rich tradition of a cappella harmony. Whether we’re performing for a crowd, competing on stage, or just ringing chords for fun, our goal is to create music that connects with people. For us, it’s not just about the barbershop style — it’s about the shared experience of making music together and inviting others to enjoy it with us.
